Sorry about the pictures, I've had some computer problems. I'm entering my radio in the extravaganza contest so maybe you can see it there. I got it playing too. So I MIGHT be able to help, my 10" speaker was replaced at some point, new coil measures ~2000 ohms, the radio plays just fine. Only thing is low volume. Hope I can help.
Ian.

:Okay: I got this radio for next to nothing. The antique dealer I bought it from gave me a good deal because it's in such rough shape. I have been checking things out and have found an open in field coil in one of the speakers. I have read that most speakers can be disassembled and I would like to try to get a better look at the coil to see if I might be so lucky as to repair it. I know, this is a one in a million chance. Both ends of the coil are visible and connected to the metal tabs, so that is not the problem. I could probably make the radio work using just one speaker, but really would like to have both working. I also know that I could replace the broken one with a PM speaker, but would like to save that option for later, if needed. I can't see how this speaker can be taken apart. Anyone have any suggestions? I could post some pics if that would help. Mark from Kalamazoo
