Resistance Line Cord Caps

Posted by Warren on 04/29/2010 02:12

This subject comes up all the time. The link Peter has posted is a good one. However the question about how does the dial lamp work now? Lift the last tubes heater going to ground, now add in series the dial lamp from that point going to ground. Use a #44 lamp, and a 47 ohm 1 watt resistor shunting across the dial lamp. Also here is a link showing how a 300MA heater string with an 8.2 MFD AC capacitor inside the old ballast tube can. Scroll drown the page to see it.
