A.K. MODEL 44

Posted by Norm Leal on 04/28/2010 11:27

Hi

Volume control will be effective but AK 44 needs to be in the metal box. Control is a divider between antenna and ground and uses shielded wire to the terminals.

This type of control is ineffective if the radio is out of the metal cabinet.

Norm

:That volume control design (a pot in the antenna circuit) is quite ineffective for strong stations.
:
:Do you have the local/distant switch in the local position? Also, keeping the metal lid on the cabinet should help some.
