A.K. MODEL 44

hi. just got done replaceing the caps in the power supply. replaced the caps on the model 44 chassis. replace wires going to the power supply. found a bad flat wire wound resistor on one of the tunning capacitors. fired it up and very faint sound. checked out more and found a bad coil. some one razor bladed it. now the radio plays great and gets plenty of stations, but its very loud. volume control seems to work. tried ground on anteena groun lug with no luck. help please. thank you
