1920's Home Brew Radio

Posted by Steve on 04/27/2010 17:17

I have a home brew 1920’s radio. I drew a schematic of this radio which is included below with some pictures. The tuning condensers may not be shown correctly but this seemed to be what I trace out with my Fluke. One of the tuning condensers has the name of Univerier on it. I have a couple of wires that are not hooked to anything and are labeled with?????. I’m not sure of how to connect the batteries. I believe the filament should be a 3 volt battery and the plate should be a 45 volt battery. The tubes are missing. I’m guessing that they should be UV-199’s. I’m not sure of where the headset should connect. Can anyone give me some guidance in getting this radio playing again? Also where can I purchase three tubes?
Thanks
Steve
