| Be real careful withthis one. With today's elevated line voltage, the heater string can be running too hot. I added a resistor in series with the heater string to get down to the correct voltage. This is especially important if the 117Z3 is bad or missing, and you substitute a silicon diode. So far as the battery/AC switch, I ususally totally remove it and hard wire everything to run on A.C. This little set will really surprise you once you get it up and running. It has an RF amplifier. :Anyone have a clear print for this Philco Roll-top ? :The switching and heater return line has problems, and the schematic is not readable right there.
