| Hello Vinny. Ive been using 3m rubber contact cement on speakers for a long time ,with very Good results! Usually If there are a few pieces torn or needed to be replaced,I use the 3m contact cement straight from the can after mixing. I also shine a light behind most speakers to see how dried out they are, looking for cracks and areas where the light shines through. In cases where I can see cracks and dried out areas I mix Mineral oil with The 3M Contact cement and cover the whole speaker surface with the mix. I have saved many speakers ready to dry out with this method. I should add When Mixing Mineral oil with contact cement, remember a little mineral oil goes further then we would think. also any added mass such as glue or any substance will have some changes to a speakers frequency response depending on the amount of mass. :Greetings to all, |
