Speaker-rubber cement

does it change the sound of the speaker at all or just make it look shiney?

:Here's a Howard 901A radio that I'm restoring now. It had a dried out brittle speaker cone that I treated with "The Wetlook" speaker dressing ....and now it's good as new! ( http://www.parts-express.com//pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=340-510)
