:I installed a security system in my house about twenty years ago, and the intrusion part isn't working. I have spent most of the last two days working on it. This is like working on an airliner. Somewhere in these 3000 square feet of house and basement, there is a short. There is a control panel in the kitchen, a brains box in the basement, fire and intrusion alarms in the basement and hall, and wires running all over the house, to every door and window. Oh, well, I need some exercise.
:Lewis Oh man, do you ever do something that makes you feel totallt stupid? On my security system, if you press # & * at the same time, it sends an emergency to the siren, dialer or whatever. Also, and I had forgotten about this, if you take the cover off of the touch pad control box, it connects the same wires together Soooo, guess whose control box is hanging out of the wall with its cover off right now? And, bye the way, the problemwas a faulty door switch.
