I need advice from a speaker guru, I have a majestic model g-2 that has about a quarter of the paper cone missing, the field coil is still good, but the problem is where the cone is missing is where the voice coil was connected, the wires are just hanging loose, is it possible to take it apart and somehow re-connect the voice coil? or is this now a boat anchor, I have searched on ebay and ptop for a possible replacement with no luck, should I just use a 10 inch PM and use a 2700 ohm 10 watt resistor? I would like to keep this model 90b as original as possible, anyone tried this before?
