| Okay: I got this radio for next to nothing. The antique dealer I bought it from gave me a good deal because it's in such rough shape. I have been checking things out and have found an open in field coil in one of the speakers. I have read that most speakers can be disassembled and I would like to try to get a better look at the coil to see if I might be so lucky as to repair it. I know, this is a one in a million chance. Both ends of the coil are visible and connected to the metal tabs, so that is not the problem. I could probably make the radio work using just one speaker, but really would like to have both working. I also know that I could replace the broken one with a PM speaker, but would like to save that option for later, if needed. I can't see how this speaker can be taken apart.
