Vintage Knight 8 tube 3 band identification

Posted by Carl T on 12/28/2011 07:20

:HI, I'm new to vintage radios and I'm trying to identify a radio I just purchased so I can get the correct schematics.
:
:The radio is a Knight 8-tube with 3-bands in a wooden tabletop cabinet. The label inside says it is model 46AE108K Superheterodyne. The chassis has 46A 2514 stamped just below where the power cord enters.
:The tube line up is 6f6 (x2) 6e5 80 6k7 6a7 6c5 75
:The speaker is a Jensen with the output transformer attached.
:
:The antiques dealer said it was mid 30s vintage. I can't seem to find much info about this model on the Internet, and this site doesn't list a model 46A in the Allied or Knight section. Oddly, I found an 8-tube sentinel radio corp model 46A which has a schematic that looks very similar.
:
:Can anyone help decipher what I have?
:
:Thanks very much.

:Mike

:Mike,
Here's a schematic for chassis 46A Allied/Knight:
