Your info on the circuitry change on that right portion of the provided schema , certainly reeks of a definite
DOWWWWN-grade.

1. . . . .The 100 mmfd RF decoupling resistor is omitted

2. . . .The fixed 250K diode load resistor is omitted

3. . . .The following two, 50K-.0025 , R/C high cut filter components are omitted

4. . . .Along. . . . . with the ,01 audio coupling capacitor, no DC / blocking / isolation, now being provided.

Look at the 75 circuitry and you will see its cathode is grounded, therefore the stage is dependent upon
an external remoted in of neg biasing for the first grid circuitry. . . .ergo. . . off from the voltage divider tap
presented via the Candohm at the bottom of your schema.

With the HV center tap of the power transformer NOT going directly to chassis / or / common ground,
that resistive pairs offset from ground will have created a negative voltage presence there.
That voltage dividers neg voltage is fed on up to bias the 1st grid of the 75.

NOW without the ISOLATION provided by the .01, you would have your diode detectors parameters being
interfered with at different volume setting levels.
