| I first cut out a piece of plastic from a ziploc sandwich bag.....making it the SAME SIZE as the label. I then tape this clear plastic protective cover to the label with masking tape - overlapping the edge of the plastic by a small amount.....only 1/16" - 1/8" or so. This provides a waterproof cover to the label but prevents the tape from actually contacting the label itself.
