:well ...Here we go...... In the process the wire comming off of antenna coil must of broke..inside of cloth covered insulation. Put new piece on and WHOOLAAAAA..the radio came to life as I slowly brought the power up on my variac......
_______________Persistance pays off! Suspected it might be around the antenna coil by the symptoms.... I guess you can never be too careful - but using a variac after recapping and "re-resistoring" seems a bit of overkill (unless you've made a very careless error.... but - such does happen on occasion!). |
