Accurate Instrument Co. Model 153 Signal generator/tracer

Posted by Rich, W3HWJ on 12/03/2011 13:01

Signal generators didn't usually have "probes." Just a shielded cable with alligator clips at the ends.

Signal tracers might have used just a straight meter probe, or an alligator clip. You can also make a demodulator probe, like the old Heathkit 337. Images available if you use Google.

:george:::I have a pdf of a book on building probes. Very informative... Send be your email address and I'll send it to you.

:::::I just got this signal generator/tracer and have no probes. I replaced electrolytic and paper caps. The unit seems to be working as all tubes and one light are on.
:::::
:::::Does anyone know about this unit and where to get/make a probe? A schematic or manual would also be great if anyone has one and can copy it for me.
:::::
:::::Any help would be appreciated.
