dual cap?

Posted by Terry Onda on 02/26/2004 10:01

::::when i'm looking at a schematic and it reads
::::.05x200v ( dual )
::::
::::What does dual mean? Lets try this again, hi John! what schematic are you looking at? Dual would mean "two", sounds like a capacitor .05 uF/200volts, meaning it would have three leads, one common and two leads Positive. Terry

:i'm working on a Belmont model 545
:How should i replace them ? should i combine 2 caps?:Morning John! after looking and the schematic, this dual cap is actually one unit with one common ground and two positive, don't find these much anymore so would get two seperate caps at .05/200v and instal them to the same points as where they came from. Would think they were foil then, so would instal ceramic caps. Terry.
