| Hello Everyone! Need some suggestions. I have a 1959 Sylvania Radio Model 1108. This is a five tube radio using an early printed circuit board and the use of an early Printed Electronic Ciruit Part. The audio coupling network (Centralab Part PC-390,printed electronic circuit) needs to be replaced. It has 7 pins soldered to the board. Sam's schematic (Set 442 - Folder 14) shows this part replaces, 6 cap.'s and 3 resistors. Anyone know a source for these other than junker radios? One solution I have toyed with, is taking a 7 lug solder strip and actually soldering the individual replacement components to the strip and securing it to the circuit board. This would be a tight fit on the board and in making sure the components did not short each other. It would also not look very good, certainly not original, but may be the only way to put it back in service. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated. Thanks guys! Kevin |
