roof vs. long wire antenna

:All the old radio books recommend a long wire antenna. Would I get better reception by running a wire between my house and garage or a roof antenna?

Hi Brett,
Go with the wire between house and garage. For these frequencies you need a nice long wire. I assume you are not talking aobut FM.
