roof vs. long wire antenna

Posted by Warren on 04/15/2009 02:20

One simple antenna is to use your land line phone cord.
Use a long line and wrap it in a coil. Now use another wire to cross wrap around it. Leave one end open, and connect the other end to your radio. Works well and static free .. If the radio has a built in loop antenna. connect the wire to an old transistor radios ferrite antenna, then tape it close to the loop antenna of your radio .. This is all so called loose coupling .. Never make a direct connection with the phone line though.
